MeetingsThe Phoenix Ski Club will meet once a month on the 1st WEDNESDAY of every month at The Radisson Hotel Phoenix City Center located at 3600 N. Second Avenue, Phoenix, AZ (Second Avenue and Osborn). The meetings begin at 7:30PM and are preceded by Happy Hour in the lounge. Most people arrive between 6:30 and 7:30. There is a Ski Club membership table set up with information for guests and visitors, and we recommend you check in there first. During the meeting there are reports on recently completed events, and information and flyers on upcoming events (both skiing and non-skiing) are available. Signups are taken by the trip leaders for upcoming events after the announcements. Ski trips or other events are often promoted with creative advertisments or skits, which can be quite entertaining. Overall, the meetings are very casual, and are intended to be fun as well as informative. If you are new to the Club, the meetings can seem chaotic and perhaps a little intimidating. Don't worry, we all felt that way once. The secret to getting to know people is to go on the activities. The groups are smaller and you have more chance to talk. So find an upcoming activity that you're interested in, and take the plunge! |
